Whats new at Clay Aviaries

This is a picture to show how you can tell a young African Gray from an older one.
Look closely at the eyes. The African Grays
eye color will change 3 times during the life of the bird. here the younger bird on the left
still has his black eyes,while the older bird on the rights eye color has chaged to Gray. This
happens when the bird is around 1 year old.
The next change takes place around 10 years old when there eye color will change to a golden color.
